Nancy Jane Maynard Mahoney

Mrs. Nancy Jane Maynard Mahoney, 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Mahoney was born May 14, 1929, in Surry County, to William Henry and Jessie Mae Davis Maynard. She was a loving mother and friend who will be missed dearly. She is survived by a daughter, Frances Mahoney of the home. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mahoney was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mahoney; her stepmother, Ada Midkiff Maynard; and a sister, Billie Jean Maynard. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Todd E. Byrd and Captain Ray Morten officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time to depart for the cemetery.
