Nannie Marie Hiatt

Miss Nannie Marie Hiatt Age 82 of Mt. Airy, NC. passed away Monday June 30, 2014 at her home. Miss Hiatt was born February 25, 1932 in Surry County to the late George and Ida Boyd Hiatt, she was a nannie for the Samet Family for many years and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Surviving are one sister Betty Ann Hiatt Moorefield of Mt. Airy, one brother Reuben Hiatt of Cleveland, TN., several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Lettie Hiatt of Ararat, NC. In addition to her parents Miss Hiatt was preceded in death by a sister Louise Bowman and by three brothers Paul Hiatt, James Hiatt and Eddie Dean Hiatt. A memorial service will be held Sunday July 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Welcome Baptist Church with Ronald Dean Bingman officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to Moody Funeral Services to assist with the funeral expenses.
