Nathan Gray Burcham

Mr. Nathan Gray Burcham, age 65, of Cana, Virginia, passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Mr. Burcham was born on January 26, 1961, in Galax City, Virginia, to the late Nelson Gray and Paula Jeanette Stoneman Brucham. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, sibling and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mr. Burcham was a longtime truck driver until his retirement. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years, Martha Sue Burcham; stepdaughter, Chanda Stevens; step grandchildren, Dustin Stevens and Jayden Sawyers; step great grandchildren, Lillie Stevens and Grayson Stevens; sisters and brother-in-law, Lisa and Barry Waller, Trish Edwards; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Jackie Burcham; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Oakland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darren Brannock officiating. Per Mr. Burcham’s request, there will not be any formal visitation. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
