Nathaniel (Nathan) Graham Zeller

Our beloved Nathaniel (Nathan) Graham Zeller passed away on May 27, 2025 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. Nathan was a joyful soul whose love, infectious belly laugh, and beautiful bright eyes touched all who knew him. Despite facing the challenges of Cerebral Palsy, Nathan found happiness in attending school at B.H. Tharrington with his peers and watching action movies—especially Marvel films! He enjoyed swimming, strolling on the greenway, birdwatching, eating banana pudding, drinking McDonald’s sweet tea, giving butterfly kisses, and flirting with the ladies! Left to cherish his sweet memory are his loving father, Ken Zeller (Charity Waterson) of Winston Salem, NC; his devoted mother, Joy Zeller; and his amazing big brother, Will Zeller (Grace Stanley), all of Mount Airy, NC. Also surviving are his paternal grandfather, Kenneth “Pa” Zeller of Belle Mead, NJ, and his godfather, James “Doc” Wells, DDS of Mount Airy, NC. Nathan leaves behind many loving family members, including uncles and aunts Mike & Jan Culler and Barry & June Amburn of King; Kevin & Dr. Kristin Zeller of Winston-Salem; several beloved cousins in NC and AL; and a multitude of friends who will miss him greatly. His extended family includes the residents and staff at Horizons Residential Care Center in Rural Hall, NC. Lastly, but certainly not least, Nathan’s extended family includes his hair dresser, Lisa Coleman, who traveled many miles to assure her buddy always looked handsome. Nathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alvis & Norma “Papa & Nanny” Lawson of Pilot Mountain, NC, and his paternal grandmother, Mary “Ma” Zeller of Belle Mead, NJ. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers who brought compassion and excitement into his life, allowing him to live it to the fullest. A celebration of Nathan’s life will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at White Sulphur Springs Wedding Venue in Mount Airy, NC. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m., and a “Superhero” Celebration of Life service will begin immediately afterward at 3:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Horizons Residential Care Center, 101 Horizons Lane, Rural Hall, NC 27045, or the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving The Zeller Family. Although Nathan is no longer in our sight, he will remain in our hearts forever!
