Nellie Lou (Leftwich) Sykes

Mrs. Nellie Lou Leftwich Sykes, age 82 of Winston-Salem passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Sykes was born on May 3, 1940, in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Curtis Leroy and Lula Holder Leftwich.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Sykes was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Weldon Sykes, Jr; a sister, Calle Lee Leftwich and a brother, Robert Franklin Leftwich.  No formal services will be held at this time.  The body will be interred in the Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Hillsborough, North Carolina.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.   Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
