Nelson Reid Keith

Mr. Nelson Reid Keith, age 54 of Meadows of Dan, VA passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Pioneer Community Hospital. Mr. Keith was born on June 29, 1960 in Patrick County to the late Waitman Carl Keith and Eleanor Evaleen Hylton Keith. In addition to his parents Mr. Keith was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Truman Keith and Jerry Glenn Keith. Nelson enjoyed farming, his animals and his family. He will be truly missed by his family that loved and cherished their beloved brother, uncle and friend.
Mr. Keith is survived by eight siblings, Carl Keith, Jr and wife, Nola of Hillsville, Larry David Keith of Laurel Fork, Brenda Carol Webb and husband, Ronnie of Fancy Gap, Allie Webb and husband, Sidney of Floyd, Danny "Digger" Keith of Meadows of Dan, Linda Spence and husband, J.D. of Woodlawn, Rose Marie Turner and husband, Mack of Hillsville and Tony Keith of Meadows of Dan and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Keith will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Nathan Montgomery officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Shelor Cemetery on Buffalo Mountain Road in Meadows of Dan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
