Nina "Orene" Westmoreland Marsh

Mrs. Nina “Orene” Westmoreland Marsh, age 88 of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday evening, June 17, 2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Marsh was born on December 30, 1936 in Surry County to the late Cleveland and Viola Whitaker Westmoreland. Orene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Kaye Joyce (Greg), Joy Hunt (Rickey); two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Marsh (Vickie), Michael Marsh (Lessa); six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; special dog, Otis Jay. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Junior Marsh; three sisters, Iris Shaw, Jane Jones; Maggie Spencer, and six brothers, Grover Westmoreland, Wayne Westmoreland, Cecil Westmoreland, Carl Westmoreland, Lawrence Westmoreland, Kenneth Westmoreland as well as great-grandchildren, Brianna, Ella, James and Joshua. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Community Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brad Quesinberry officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
