Norma Lee Hill Hawks

Mrs. Norma Lee Hill Hawks, 81, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born January 26, 1942, in Surry County, to the late Lloyd Lee and Reba Wood Hill.  Mrs. Hawks is survived by a brother, Preston E. Hill (Susan Holt); an uncle, Kirby Wood; a great-niece, Kayla Simpson (Carson Lynch); and her cousins, Alan Wood (Barbara) and Glenda Covington (R.M.).  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin Joseph Hawks; an infant sister, Brenda Hill; a brother, Winfred D. Hill; and a niece, Cyndi R. Lineberry.  A graveside service will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 until 10:45 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.
