Miss Olivia Yvette Knott, age 12, of Ararat, North Carolina entered eternal rest unexpectantly on April 12, 2026. Miss Knott was born on January 30, 2014, in Forsyth County to Tabatha Hope Key and Garrett Tyler Knott. Miss Knott was a sixth grader at Central Middle School, where she was known for her beautiful voice (could sing all genres of music), affectionate laughter, artistic abilities, friendships, and kindness to others. Olivia left a lasting impact on those she met and those wonderful memories will live on with her friends and family forever. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is her mother, Tabatha Hope Key; her father, Garrett Tyler Knott; two brothers, Rylan Parker, Roland Smith; maternal grandfather, Bobby Dale Key; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Lea Knott; two aunts, Samatha “Mantha” Yvette Swiney, Amanda Stager; three uncles, Anthony Key and Melissa, Dustin Farmer, Austin Knott and Jada; her cousins, Shelley Swiney, Emory Key, Eythan Stager, Elyjah Stager, Jackson Knott, Kayleigh Knott; along with a host of other uncles, aunts, and friends. Miss Knott was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sheryl Annett Tate; her paternal grandfather, Swanson “Dusty” Knott; maternal great-grandparents, Charles and Linda Tate and Annie Gibson; paternal great grandparents, Jimmy and Faye Easter. A celebration of Olivia’s precious life will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM Mount Airy Wesleyan Church in Mount Airy with Reverend Doug Cockerham and Reverend Tommy Vass officiating. Interment will follow in the People’s Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Mount Airy Wesleyan Church from 12:00 PM until the time of the services. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
