Opal Marie Shelton McMillian

Mrs. Opal Marie Shelton McMillian, 58 of Cana, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, December 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving and supportive family. She was born March 7, 1967, in Martinsville, VA to the late William Tell “Billy” Shelton, Sr. and Bonnie Ruth Lucas Williams. Mrs. McMillian was a loving and hard-working housewife and was a member of Open Door Beacon of Hope Church with Pastor Bobby Steele as her pastor. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Ross “RD” McMillian of the home, son and daughter-in-law, William David Allen Price and Ciara; grandchildren, Charisma Price and Dawson Price; sisters, Dorcas Hilton and Lynn and Timmy Darnell; brothers, Willis and Teresa Snider, James and April Shelton, Garrick Shelton, and Punkin and Dorene Shelton; a sister at heart, Teresa Steele; special people, Karen Love and Jack O; special fur babies, Harleigh and Ranger; her father-in-law, Ross McMillian; several nieces and nephews; and by several other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McMillian was preceded in death by a son, Travis Allen Shelton; and her mother-in-law, Brenda McMillian. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 2:00pm in the McMillian Family Cemetery, 7626 Wards Gap Road, Cana, VA 24317 with Pastor Richie Harris officiating.
