Otto King

Mr. Otto King, 81, of Cana, VA, passed away Saturday morning, August 27, 2016, at his home. Mr. King was born May 8, 1935, in Carroll County, VA, the son of the late Frank and Gladys Jones King. Otto retired as a self-employed auctioneer and was a member of the Christian faith. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joan Jackson King of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brother Kenny and Amey King and Jerry and Sharon King, all of Cana, VA; four grandchildren, Noah King, Faith King, Travis King, and Grace King, all of Cana, VA; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Connie Cagle and Hazel and the Rev. Verlon Combs, all of Cana, VA, and Betty Sue Leftwich of Myrtle Beach, SC; and a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Marie King of Cana, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by eight infant siblings; two sisters, Ossie Golding and Dorothy Tolbert; and a brother, Curtis King. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the King Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
