Pamela Jean Cooke Tilley

Mrs. Pamela Jean Cooke Tilley, 52, of 409 Worth Street, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Tilley was born November 26, 1954, in Surry County, to Ossie Booker Cooke and the late Hersey Cooke. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry and Lisa Tilley and Travis Tilley, all of Mount Airy, and Tim and Stacy Tilley of Westfield; seven grandchildren, Courtney Tilley, Kaylee Tilley, Tanner Tilley, Timmy Tilley, Jr., Kaleb Tilley, Tyson Tilley, and Trace Tilley, all of Westfield; her mother, Ossie Booker Cooke of Mount Airy; two brothers, Ronnie Cooke and Danny Cooke, both of Mount Airy; a half-sister, Bridgett Cooke of Westfield; a half-brother, Bobby Cooke of Westfield; and a special friend, Gary Melton of Mount Airy. In addition to her father, Mrs. Tilley was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Craig Tilley, Sr.; and a brother, Ricky Cooke. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Tim Tilley, and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Ossie Booker Cooke, 115 Myers Drive, Mount Airy.
