Patricia "Trit" Ann Martin

Ms. Patricia “Trit” Ann Martin, age 77 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. She was born in Patrick County on August 9, 1947, to the late Jerry Martin, Jr. and Lucy Lee Spencer Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Cory Tarpley. Patricia was a faithful worshipper who enjoyed fellowship at First Christian Church and is a member of Mount Calvary Holy Church.

Left to cherish the memories of Ms. Martin are two daughters, Pamela Martin and Sharon Tarpley, both of Stuart, VA; seven grandchildren, Jordan Martin, Shannon Thomas, Sean Martin, Chris Martin (Brittany), Kori Tarpley, Brandon Tarpley, and Nicholas Tarpley; ten great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Martin, Alysia Ortiz, Aalaya Shoffner, Noah Gravely, Sean Martin, Jayden Corns, Levi Hairston, Aiden Wagner, Demi Martin, and Legend Tarpley; six siblings, Robert Martin (Marian) of Yonkers, NY, Brenda Cropps (Grover) of Ararat, NC, Norma Martin, Mary Martin, James Martin, and Anthony Martin (Lora) all of Stuart, VA; and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The homegoing service of Ms. Martin will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. James Houchins officiating and Elder G. Joseph Carter eulogizing. Burial will immediately follow in Community Cemetery. The wake will be held on Thursday morning, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
