Patricia Smith Wright

      Mrs. Patricia Smith Wright, age 72 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  She was born in Danville on September 5, 1951, to the late Warren Smith and Virginia Williams Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wright.  Patricia and Charles owned and operated Wright Asphalt Sealers for over 20 years.  She had fostered over 80 children throughout her life, and she loved painting and tending to her flowers.

       Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry and Pamela Wright of Axton, James Wright of Danville; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristy Leigh and Trey King of Stuart; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Cheryl Strange of Winston-Salem, NC, Charlene Jackson of North Carolina, Cindy Benson of Martinsville; two brothers, Marty Elliott, Clarence “C.W.” Elliott both of Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
