Patrick Tyrell Swaim

Our friend, brother and son, Patrick Tyrell Swaim, age 33 of Charlotte, NC went to sleep unexpectedly Monday May 8, 2023 in the company of friends and coworkers to awake in the glorious presence of our Creator.

Patrick was born December 5, 1989 in Forsyth County to Gregg and Debbie Swaim and was a member of Copeland Baptist Church.  He had a caring nature and love for his family and friends, a big smile that was contagious and never met a stranger. A graduate of Gardner-Webb University, Patrick was employed with Sunbelt Rentals in Fort Mill, SC.

Patrick was an avid sports fan, keen on following the Warriors and Blue Devils.  He looked forward to cruise time with his brother, sister, niece and close friends, catfishing in the Yadkin, sporting clays in the backyard, weekend visits with lifelong friends and lunch at O’Dells Sandwich Shop.

Those who will be forever thankful for Patrick in addition to his parents are sister Heather Taylor, niece Maddie Taylor, brother Ryan Swaim, aunt Beverly Hendrix (Rocky), step-grandmother Pansy Swaim, step-aunt Jan Thurkill (Steve), step-aunt Hope Phillips (Don) along with numerous cousins and friends.  Preceding Patrick in death were grandmother Betty Swaim, grandfather Wayde Swaim, maternal grandparents Bill and Reecie Johnson and uncle Billy Johnson, Jr. 

Visitation for Patrick will be Saturday, May 13, 10:00-11:00 am at Salem Baptist Church, 430 Rockford Road, Dobson, NC . Services will begin at 11:00 AM in the church. Burial will follow in Copeland Baptist Church, 169 Stoney Knoll Road.  Pastor Jay Worsley and Pastor Russ Billo are officiating.
