Paul Edward Parker Jr.

Mr. Paul Edward “Eddie” Parker Jr., age 70, of Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the SECU Hospice Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 7, 1955, in Lumberton NC, to the late Paul Edward Parker, Sr., and the late Myrtle Mae Cox Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosie, Mearl, Betty, Libby and John.

Mr. Parker was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and brother. He was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, and served as a teacher for the Encouragement Class. Paul was loved by everyone he met, and he especially loved all his family, friends and church. Left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife, Peggy Ann Reece Parker; daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Wayne Johnson; his daughter, Beverly Parker (Jeremiah Druck); grandchildren, Amy Bray, Christian Parker, and Nathaniel Parker; great grandchildren, Emma Bray, Kaydence Bray, Kayleigh Bray, Abbie Bray, and Stacey Parker; step sister, Sarah James; and his step brother, Ledford Hutto; and many special friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Welcome Valley Baptist Church. Services will begin at 2:00 PM, in the church, with Rev. Mark Reece and Rev. Terry Coe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be Welcome Valley Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 115 Dodson Road, Elkin NC 28621. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Parker family.
