Mrs. Pauline Grace Piekos Epperson, 71, of 2045 Ararat Highway, Ararat, VA, passed away Monday, May 19, 2008, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Epperson was born March 12, 1937, in Lowell, MA, to the late William and Stella Lang. Pauline was a longtime employee at Rite Aid and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Randy G. Epperson of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Melanie Epperson of Benson, Kent and Kathryn Epperson of Meadows of Dean, VA, and Clint and Sherrie Epperson of Kodak, TN; four grandchildren, Katelyn Epperson, Kristy Epperson, and Kevin Epperson, all of Meadows of Dan, VA, and Mindy Epperson of Kodak, TN; a sister, Blanche Barlow of Wilmington, DE; two nieces, Linda McCorison of Weatogue, CT, and Ann Marie Holland of Tampa, FL; and four nephews, Bruce Foss of Sebring, FL, Claude Jordan of Atlanta, GA, Keith Jordan of Wilmington, DE, and Mark Jordan of Fairview. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Epperson was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Lasala. The funeral mass will be held Monday, May 26, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church. The service will be conducted by Father Eric Kowalski, and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
