Peggy Jo Draughn Mosley

Mrs. Peggy Jo Draughn Mosley, 78, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Mosley was born November 21, 1935, in Surry County, to Dallas and Anna Smith Draughn. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed. She retired from Roses Stores and was a faithful member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kirk and Wendy Mosley and Kenny and Jessica Mosley, all of Mount Airy; five grandchildren, Kendra Dalton, Heather Mosley and her fiancé, Kenyon Shore, Allison Mosley, Hayden Mosley, and Addison Mosley; two great-grandsons, Hunter Dalton and Kolten Shore; a sister and brother-in-law, Bertie and Richard Starr; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie and Faye Draughn, Jimmie and Effie Draughn, Gene and Janie Draughn, and Rudy and Karen Draughn, all of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Draughn was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Mosley. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Danny Moore and the Rev. Tommy Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
