Phyllis Deane Helms Wolfe

Mrs. Phyllis Deane Helms Wolfe, 78 of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. She was born in Union County, NC on December 11, 1933 to the late Robert Furman and Polly Griffin Helms and was married to the late Robert Payne Wolfe for 47 years. She was retired from Ingles grocery and was member of Grace Moravian Church. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sandra Wolfe of Pfafftown, NC, Philip Wayne and Mavis Wolfe of Richmond Hill, GA, Jeffrey Martin and Eva Marie Wolfe of Croton, OH; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Larry Simpson of Clermont, FL, Holly and Bill Brendle of Indian Trail, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Marian Helms of Monroe. She also leaves behind Thomas Flynn, her faithful companion and friend for the past six years. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sally Angelia Wolfe; and three brothers, Bob, Doug, and Rudy Helms. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Grace Moravian Church with Rev. Tony Hayworth officiating. Burial will follow in Gods Acre. The family will receive friends Wednesday night 6 to 8 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Grace Moravian Church at 1401 N. Main St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
