Rada Belle Noah Bowman

Mrs. Rada Belle Noah Bowman, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Bowman was born March 24, 1928, in Surry County, to the late William Walter and Jenney Alice Gammons Noah. She retired from Sara-Lee Hosiery after 26 years of service and was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Miller of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Archie Dean and Chie Bowman and Leroy David and Patricia Bowman, all of Mount Airy; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Lucille Dodson and Odell Hildebrand, both of King. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. John D. Bowman; a sister, Viola Maynor; four brothers, Lee Noah, Jennies Noah, Vestal Noah, and Wiley Noah; a great-grandchild, Cody Garrett; and a son-in-law, Bill Miller. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dale Wallace, the Rev. Wayne D. Hannah, and the Rev. Joshua Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 137 Antioch Avenue, Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Central Continuing Care, 400 Hall, for all their love and care shown to Mrs. Bowman.
