Raford H. Sheppard

Mr. Raford H. Sheppard, 74, of Spencer, passed away Sunday September 27, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. He was born in Patrick County on September 5, 1941 to the late Elbert and Alice Doss Sheppard. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Othelia Sheppard and Ilene Rorrer.

Raford was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Sandy Ridge, NC and had formerly owned and operated Sheppard’s Trucking Company and went by the handle of Sugar Pop Kid.
Mr. Sheppard is survived by his wife; Linda Fain Sheppard of the home, two sons and daughter-in-law; Jimmy Sheppard of Eden, NC, Bobby and Misty Sheppard of Sandy Ridge, NC; a Step Son and daughter-in-law; Mike and Maria Fain of Stuart, VA, and Step Daughter and son-in-law; Susan and Ricky Edwards of Critz, VA and eight grandchildren; Brandie, Amanda, Mya and Colin Sheppard, Maghan and Aaron Fain and Taylor and Gracen Edwards.
Funeral services for Mr. Sheppard will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Mike Sands officiating.
