Ramona Jean Helms

Ramona Nester Helms, 62, of Laurel Fork, Virginia, passed away on October 11, 2023, peacefully at her home. Ramona was born on August 27, 1961, to the late Garner and Christine Nester of Floyd, Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, Kent Helms; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Jo and Dustin Jones; grandson, Cyrus Jones; brother, Garland Nester; and sister, Lisa Sehen.

 For most of her life, Ramona has tried to love and care for those around her whether it be friends, family, or beloved pets. She was a generous person that tried to help others anytime she could. She enjoyed canning, making apple butter, and spending time with friends. She cherished her time at the beach with her husband and looked forward to relaxing on the porch every summer.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Tory Creek Baptist Church from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for her friends and family.
