Ramona Faye Inman Neal

Mrs. Ramona Faye Inman Neal, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday night, March 22, 2018, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Neal was born February 13, 1932, in Surry County, the only child born to the late Roscoe Rufus “Tobe” and Lettie Margie Kirkman Inman. Ramona retired as a teaching assistant from Mount Airy City Schools after many years of service and was a member of Shelton Church of the Brethren. She is survived by a daughter, Devra Neal of Mount Airy; three sons and a daughter-in-law, John Neal of Cary, and Jim Neal and Joe and Kandy Neal, all of Mount Airy; five grandchildren, David Inscore, Laura Williams, Tyler Neal, Kevin Neal, and Kaleb Neal; and four great-grandchildren, Landon Williams, Marcus Inscore, Julian Inscore, and Jaydon Hayes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Neal was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bill Neal. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 26, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirkman Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
