Randy Delano Beasley

On May 26, 2024, Randy Delano Beasley passed away after a very brief illness surrounded by his family.   Randy was born in Surry County on August 11, 1963.  He spent his childhood living in Douglasville, Georgia.  As a child, Randy loved baseball and played at Shorter University.  In 1988, Randy moved to Mount Airy to work for Pike Electric, where he later became a project manager.  He married Karen Pell Beasley in 1990, and they had two children, Josh and Christy.   Randy enjoyed golf, walking, boating and watching the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.  His favorite pastime was playing with his granddaughter, Charlotte Kate (Doodlebug).  Randy was well-loved and loved well.  He made an impact on all who knew him and will be dearly missed.  Randy is preceded in death by his mom, Dana Beasley and dad, Colbert Beasley.  He is survived by the love of his life, Karen Pell Beasley; children, Joshua Delano Beasley and wife, Bri Blackwood Beasley and Christy Beasley Snow and husband, Randy Shawn Snow; granddaughter and light of his world, Charlotte Kate Snow; brother and sister-in-law, Sandy and Susan Beasley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Chris and Jim Pell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimbo and Libby Pell; and nieces and nephews, Ben Beasley, Brett Beasley, Laura Pell-McManus and Lizzie Kattmann.  A service of worship and celebration of Randy’s life will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, at 3:00 at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Alex Martin and Dr. Jon Cawley officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 at Calvary Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Reeves Community Center Foundation, 113 South Renfro Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Beasley family.
