Mr. Raymond Elbert Eaton, Jr. age 85 of Mount Airy, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Eaton was born on April 27, 1941, in Surry County to the late Raymond Elbert Eaton, Sr and Violet Rose Lottie Jenkinson Eaton. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Mildred Mae Easter Eaton; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond “Ray” Elbert Eaton, III and wife Ana; five grandchildren, Olivia Eaton, Pablo Eaton and Rosa, Emily Stevens and Tony, Natalie Gonzalez and Joshua, Benjamin Eaton; two great-grandchildren, Violet Gonzalez, Solomon Eaton; and a brother, David Eaton. Mr. Eaton was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life service will be held a later date with a private inurnment at Oakdale Cemetery. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
