Rebecca Wortman Love

Mrs. Rebecca Wortman Love, 80, of Delco, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 29, 2015, at Windsor Point in Fuquay-Varina. Mrs. Love was born July 22, 1935, in Surry County, the older of two children born to the late Ivo A. Wortman, Sr. and Minnie Brintle Wortman. Rebecca retired as a secretary from Acme-Delco Middle School after many years of service. She is survived by a daughter, Julia Love Megson of Fuquay-Varina; a son, Marion James Love, Jr. of Delco; and two grandchildren, Olivia Megson of Fuquay-Varina and Andrew Love of Wilmington. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her husband, Marion James Love, Sr.; and a brother, Ivo A. Wortman, Jr. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 2, 2015, at 1:30 PM at White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery, with the Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger officiating. There will not be a formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Plains Friends Meeting, 849 Old Highway 601, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
