Rev. Donald "Don" Gray Bryant, Jr., age 48 of Lambsburg, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2012. Rev. Bryant was born in Surry County on March 9, 1964 to Rev. Donald Gray Bryant, Sr. and Opal Combs Bryant. He was employed with Cooke Trucking. He was the founder of Gods Cornucopia and Outreach Ministries. He loved spreading the word of the Gospel and proudly served as a Firefighter and EMT with Carroll County for twenty three years. Surviving is his loving wife of twenty eight years, Constance "Connie" Hammer Bryant of the home; a son, Donnie Bryant of Lambsburg; a step daughter, Sharon Barrett of Christiansburg; a step son, Mark Richardson of Williamsburg; his parents, Donald Bryant, Sr. and Opal Bryant of Lambsburg; step grandchildren, Alex Barrett, Hannah Barrett, Jake Richardson and Paige Richardson; a sister, Teresea Bowman of Lambsburg and special friends, Brad Hawks and Sandra Brinkley. Rev. Bryant was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fayette and Rebbie Combs and his paternal grandparents, Lester and Velna Bryant. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Fellowship Tabernacle by Rev. Donald Bryant, Sr., Rev. David Allred and Rev. Michael Combs. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Committal services will be held at the church cemetery at 11:00 AM Thursday. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to his caregiver, Brandon Owens for his special love and care given to Don during his illness.
