Rev. James John McMillian, 75, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Carroll County on March 21, 1939 to the late John and Rhoda Gwyn McMillian. Rev. McMillian was a retired Bull Dozer driver and was a member of Bottom Road Tabernacle. He is survived by his wife, Kathrine Sechrist McMillian of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Carl Ray Tate, Ann and Don Fleenor all of Mt. Airy, Brenda and Rev. Johnny Easter of Cana, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Debbie McMillian, Arnold and Karen McMillian, Johnny and Pam McMillian all of Mt. Airy, Jimmy McMillian of the home; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Opel Collins of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Polly McMillian of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Rev. McMillian was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia McMillian; a brother, Haskell McMillian. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 at Bottom Road Tabernacle with the Rev. Johnny Easter and the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Hollow Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Bottom Road Tabernacle. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
