Rev. Jerry Lane Brannock

Rev. Jerry Brannock, age 85, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born on March 14, 1940 in Surry County to the late Richard William and Minnie Brown Brannock. Mr. Brannock retired from Riverside Exxon and was a minister for more than 60 years. He pastored the Holy Church of God for several years. Left to cherish his memory is the mother of his children, Pam Beverly Brannock; children, Sarah Brannock, Cindy Brannock, Rebecca Brannock, Jerry Jacob Brannock (Kimberly), David Brannock (LauraLynn), Joshua Brannock, Jonah Brannock, Abraham Brannock (Tabatha), Lillie Love (Gregory); sisters and brother-in-law, Lynn Childress, Vivian Thompson (Brian); as well as numerous grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brannock was preceded in death by a son, Adam Brannock; sisters, Margarete Brannock and Virginia Carter; brothers, Buck, Mitch, Ralph, and Jack Brannock. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Robbie Sizemore. Burial will follow in Smith Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 until the time for the service at the funeral home.
