Rev. Roger Burnell Sickmiller

Rev. Roger Burnell Sickmiller, age 81, of Murfreesboro Tn., formerly of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his residence. He was born May 23, 1944, in Malinta Ohio, to the late Ross Harold Sickmiller and the late Ruth Jane Watson Sickmiller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Twyla Maxwell Sickmiller; and his grandson, Cody Sickmiller.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons and daughters-in-law, Todd David Sickmiller. Ross Wayne and Donna Sickmiller, and Robert Blane and Rita Sickmiller; grandchildren, Curtis Blane Sickmiller, Alisha Ann Sickmiller, Chris Robert Sickmiller, and Carson Ross Sickmiller.

Rev. Sickmiller served as a former pastor of Double Creek Church of Christ for over 17 years; and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM, in the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery, with Pastor John Elmore, Jason White, and Tommy Belton officiating. Following the graveside service, the family will welcome friends in the fellowship hall to share in food and memories with his family, Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is respectfully serving the Sickmiller family.
