Richard "Darren" Cobbler

         Mr. Richard Darren Cobbler, age 51 of Spencer, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Patrick County on October 30, 1971.  He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Richard Cobbler; his maternal grandparents, William “Buddy” and Ruth Goard; and his paternal grandparents, Richard and Mildred Cobbler.  Darren loved hunting and through it he met many good friends.  He worked with his dad and uncle at Cobbler Logging for many years.  He later hauled cattle and worked for Bowling Logging and Chipping.

         Surviving is his children, Haley Cobbler of Lawsonville, NC, Shine Cobbler (Jose), Ethan Cobbler, Tyler Cobbler, Leia Cobbler all of Stuart; one granddaughter; his mother and stepfather, Danie Goard Dillinger and Butch of Spencer; one sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Todd Nelson of Ararat; special aunt, Phyllis Griffin of Patrick Springs; special uncle, Doug Cobbler of Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.

         A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Mayo Christian Church with Minister Milfred Hudson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richard Darren Cobbler Memorial Fund, P.O.
