Richard VanVorst Bucknall, III

Richard VanVorst Bucknall, III, age 15, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on December 5, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born April 8, 2001 in Forsyth County to Richard and Jamie Bates Bucknall. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Loren Bucknall of the home; maternal grandmother, Margaret S. Bates of Elkin; his uncles and aunts, Forrest and Tammy Bates and Robert and Dalida Bucknall; cousin, Jonathan Bates and his special friends Angelica and Dolly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather William B. Bates, paternal grandparents Richard and Margaret Zbur Bucknall. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm, with the family receiving friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm. Reverend Jamie Edwards and Reverend Judy Davis will be officiating the service. Interment will be held at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, State Road, NC following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Center for Exceptional Children Family Support Network of Greater Forsyth.
