Richard Clifford Jones

Mr. Richard Clifford Jones, 74, of Mount Airy, formerly of East Bend, passed away Friday morning, July 12, 2013, at Central Continuing Care. Mr. Jones was born January 3, 1939, in Stokes County, the son of the late Lillian Jones. Richard worked at Packaging Lines Inc. in Winston-Salem for several years and was a member of the Christian faith. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Krystal Jones of Dobson; and a grandson, Kaleb Jones of Dobson. In addition to his mother, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Alene Jones. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Mount Airy Church of God, with the Rev. Charles Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Claudville, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Mount Airy Church of God. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
