Richard "Ricky" Cleveland Haynes

 Richard "Ricky" Cleveland Haynes, born July 19th, 1949, in Surry County, peacefully passed on February 8th, 2024, into the arms of our Heavenly Father. He was the son of the late Woodrow and Virgie Haynes. Ricky was a devoted husband to Elizabeth "Anne" Haynes, father to his three daughters, as well as his son Richie Haynes and his wife Penny Haynes. He was a proud grandfather to Mackenzie Haynes and Gray Haynes and his wife Amy, and great-grandfather to Henry Ray Haynes. An outdoorsman at heart, Ricky loved hunting, fishing, and finding joy in nature. He was known for his playful sense of humor and retired from roofing in 2018 after a fulfilling career. His Baptist faith held a special place in his heart, providing him strength and guidance throughout his life. He is survived by his brother Dennis Haynes and sister Bonnie Sizemore, and her husband Wayne Sizemore, Ricky will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A graveside service to celebrate Ricky's life will be held Monday February 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Trent Lyons officiating. There will no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 651 S. South St., Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Service is entrusted with his arrangements.
