Richie Dale Hawks

Mr. Richie Dale Hawks, 45, of 743 Sandy Ridge Road, Cana, VA, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014, at his home. Mr. Hawks was born February 14, 1969, in Surry County, one of three children born to Billy Ray and Dorsa Hawks Hawks. He worked as a construction laborer for many years. He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Hawks of Hamptonville and Brenda Renee Hawks of Siloam; a son, Brandon Hawks of Cana, VA; two grandchildren, Hailey Leigh and Nathan; his mother, Dorsa Hawks Hawks of Cana, VA; two sisters, Debbie Hawks of Denton and Ginger Hawks of Cana, VA; four special aunts, Gladys Combs, Imogene Dawson, Ollie Hawks, and Shirley Hawks, all of Cana, VA; and a special friend, Timmy Hawks of Cana, VA. Mr. Hawks was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Hawks. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is in charge of the cremation and serving the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
