Mr. Ricky Lee Chandler, 66, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday night, June 28, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Chandler was born October 11, 1956, in Forsyth County, one of seven children born to the late Thomas Edgar and Margaret Helen Foalden Chandler.  Ricky worked at Renfro Corporation for several years, and he later worked as a custodian at Millennium Charter Academy for 15 years.  He is survived by his wife, Linda Branson Kirkman Chandler; a stepdaughter, Teresa Kirkman Johnson and her husband, Henry; a stepson, Treva Kirkman, Jr.; two special grandchildren, Lily Kirkman and Rose Kirkman; two stepgrandchildren, Bryson Ayers and Andrew Johnson; three sisters, Sandy Hutson and her husband, Leon, Marcella Gwyn, and Missy Chandler; a brother, Michael Chandler; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Gwyn; a brother, Thomas Chandler; and a special fur baby, Babies.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Shelton Church of the Brethren, with Mark Robertson officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
