Ricky Lee Shinault

Mr. Ricky Lee Shinault, 65, of Mount Airy, entered heaven on Friday, December 15, 2023, from the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born December 16, 1957, in Surry County, to the late Clifton and Dorothy Dollyhigh Shinault.  Ricky was a dedicated employee at Mount Airy Oil Company for 40 years of employment and was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ararat.  Ricky was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.  He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cindy Curtis Shinault; a daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Chase Dickens; a son, Matthew Shinault; a grandchild, Reagan Adam Dickens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Sue Shinault and Tony and Pam Shinault; and two nieces, Brooke Shinault Sheets and Tabatha Shinault Cheney.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church in Ararat, with the Rev. Josh Sechrist officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.  Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
