Robert Beach Arrington

Mr. Robert Beach Arrington, age 74 of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at NC Baptist Hospital. Mr. Arrington was born in Surry County on February 12, 1940 to A. B. and Ludie Law Arrington. He proudly served our country in Germany while in the United States Army and was a retired truck driver for Dixie Concrete . Surviving are his wife, Pamela Goins Arrington; of the home, a daughter, Tesha Arrington of the home; two sons, Robert Michael Gwyn of San Diego, CA. and Shane Arrington of Greensboro, a granddaughter Kaylee Arrington of the home, three sisters Valeria Hardy of Carthage, NC., Frances Marion of Rural Hall and Diana Lawrence of Pilot Mountain, and by two brothers Rex Arrington of Cana and Richard Arrington of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by two sisters Debra Joyce and Faye Chappell, by two brothers Donald Arrington and Kenneth Arrington and by two infant sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday September 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral home chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Johnny Hawks with burial to follow in the Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night 6 to 8 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
