Robert Linsey Foley

Mr. Robert Linsey Foley, age 79 of Cana, VA, passed away Saturday afternoon October 7, 2023, at Novant Forsyth Medical in Winston-Salem.  He was born July 4, 1944, in Patrick County to the late Kyle and Mary Etta Bowman Young.  Mr. Foley loved to read and play with the grandchildren and great children.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Jo Ann Hiatt Foley; two sons, Zack Foley and James Michael Nester; two grandchildren, Chase Foley, and Ashley Nester Collins and Randy; two great-grandchildren, Riden Collins and Adelyn Collins; a sister, Peggy Iroler; a brother, Russell Young; and several other family and friends.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Foley was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Jackson.  Per Mr. Foley’s wishes, there will not be any formal services.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
