Robert "Robby" Ephron Lincoln Dezern

Robert “Robby” Ephron Lincoln Dezern, age 54, passed away on December 7, 2024, at the RHA Wildcat Group Home in Deep Gap, NC. He was born June 1, 1970, in Elkin, NC to the late Paul and Margie Chrismon Dezern. To know Robby was to love him. Robby was known for his witty and loving personality. He would light up your world with his amusing sayings and debonair smile. He loved his caretakers and was quite the flirt (referred to as Roberto). His favorite activities were watching Judge Judy, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, and as of late, The Price is Right! The minute you walked into his room, his first question was, can I have a hug. His second question, can I have a Reese’s cup. Needless to say, he ate a lot of Reese’s cups and received twice as many hugs! Thirdly and most importantly, he wanted you to pray with him. You never spoke with Robby without praying. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Kathy Hanks (Jeff - aka Jimmy), his two nieces, Morgan (David) Smart, Madison Robertson (Austin McLamb) and three great nieces, Blair, Brooke, and Blake Smart. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 2:30 PM in the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Dobson with the service conducted by Rev. Mitch Robertson and Rev. Justin Welch. A private burial will follow at the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memory of Robby, to the Surry County Special Olympics at 122 Hamby Road, Dobson, NC. Special thanks and much love to the RHA Wildcat Group home and the Surry Yadkin Residential Services Group home. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to the many wonderful caregivers that have loved and showed Robby kindness throughout his precious life.
