Robert Michael Vaughn

Mr. Robert Michael "Mike" Vaughn, 61, of 183 Great Dane Trail, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 29, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Vaughn was born December 20, 1952, in Surry County, the son of the late Flavel France Vaughn and Alma Lou Hornaday Vaughn. Mike was a self-employed dump truck driver for many years. He is survived by his wife, Kim Snow Vaughn of the home; a pet and loyal companion, Muffin; a great friend, Jess Sheets; and many, many special friends and extended family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by an infant brother, Danny Ray Vaughn; and three very special dog pals, Bubba, Drake, and Ringo. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Hutchens-Venable Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
