Robert Dale Whitt

Mr. Robert Dale Whitt, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born December 23, 1955, in Mullens, WV, to the late Timple and Gracie Vance Witt. Mr. Whitt was a mechanic for Carter Utility. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Miller and her fiancé, Lee Hayes, of Hamptonville and Susan Whitt of Mount Airy; a son and a daughter-in-law, Robert Whitt, Jr. and Tiffany Whitt of Mount Airy; five grandchildren, Brian Gibson and fiancee Samantha McMillian, Ron Miller, Jr., Jaxson Whitt, Derick Dockery, and Tiffany Jones; a great-grandchild, Emmalynn Gibson; a sister, Carol Jones of Claudville, VA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jimmy and Meddia Whitt and Michael Whitt, all of Claudville, VA; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Family Worship Center, with Pastor Richard Barton and Co-Pastor Gary Storms officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the Whitt family.
