Roberta Richardson Woodruff

Mrs. Linnie Roberta Richardson Woodruff, age 84, of Lowgap, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born on November 1, 1941, in Surry County to the late Curnel Posey Richardson and Thelma Clyde Smith Richardson. She was a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church. Mema loved her grandchildren, reading, and going camping with her husband and the grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Eric Puckett; grandchildren, Mitchell Woodruff and Brittany Lapcevich, Zach and Amiee Shelton, and Taylor Shelton; great grandchildren, Xander Woodruff, Lydia Woodruff, and Juliette Shelton; brother and sister-in-law, Ike and Pam Richardson; and by several other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodruff was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Woodruff; and her son, Mickey Lee Woodruff. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 19, 2026, at 11:00am at Roaring Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fishers Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at Roaring Gap Baptist Church from 10:00 – 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017 or to Roaring Gap Baptist Church, PO Box 304, Lowgap, NC 27024.
