Roger Lee Boyd

Mr. Roger Lee Boyd, age 79 of Bassett, Virginia passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023.  He was born in Galax, Virginia on December 28, 1943, to the late Orville R. Boyd and Emeline Sizemore Boyd.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Boyd; and one nephew, Greg Boyd.  Roger retired from Dupont after over 30 years of service. 

Mr. Boyd is survived by two children, Allen Boyd and wife, Cristy of Stuart, and Lea-Anne E. Boyd of Martinsville; four grandchildren, Corby Allen Boyd, Allison Renee Boyd, Cameron Boyd and wife, Grace, and Jazmyne Boyd; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Boyd and wife, Evelyn, Jerry Dean Boyd, and Garry Boyd, all of Meadows of Dan; and one nephew, Thomas Boyd.

A memorial visitation for Mr. Boyd will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bassett Rescue Squad, P.O.
