Roger Lee Crotts

Mr. Roger Lee Crotts, 59, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at his home. He was born February 14, 1955, in Surry County, to the late Odell Edgar Crotts and Mozelle Crotts Jones. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by a sister, Wanda Faye Butcher of Mount Airy; a brother, Franklin Crotts of Oklahoma City, OK; several nieces and nephews, Wannetta George, Juanita Bounds, Christina Harves, Franklin Crotts, Jr., Shannon Harves, Tom Harves and Mike Harves; several great nieces and nephews, Victoria, Hustin, Zackary, Isiah, Kayden, Kayla, Malachi and Morgan; his aunts, Lois, Reebie, Nina, and Mary; his uncles, Aaron, Darvel, and Vestal; and several cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crotts was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Crotts; and two sisters, Bonnie Harves and Betty Jean Crotts. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Tony Hutchens officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is assisting the Crotts family.
