Roger Lee Fletcher

Mr. Roger Lee Fletcher, 83, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 24, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem. Mr. Fletcher was born September 20, 1942, in Surry County, the oldest of four children born to the late Warren Harden and Lois Aline Brintle Fletcher. Roger grew up in the White Plains community and graduated from North Surry High School. He dedicated many years of service to Spencer’s Inc. and was well known for his love of flower gardening and raising herbs. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rebecca Sue Corbell Fletcher; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teresa Wood and Emily and Tony Snow; a son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Cindy Fletcher; six grandchildren, Travis Fletcher (Amy), Laken Mabe, Justin Mabe (Nikki), Trevor Snow, Jessica Bennett (Jimmy), and Katie Key (Bradley); ten great-grandchildren, Aiden Sawyers, Jace Sawyers, Madelyn Mabe, McKenna Mabe, Allen Fletcher, Natalie Fletcher, Lilla Key, Summer Key, Lucy Bennett, and Gunnar Bennett; a great-great-grandson, Grayson Fletcher; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Joe Lovelace and Wanda and Phillip Branch; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Brenda Fletcher; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
