Roger Dale Golding

Mr. Roger Dale Golding, age 76, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday night, October 3, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Mr. Golding was born in Surry County on April 22, 1949, to the late Dock Golding and Allie Flippin Golding. He had a long career as a truck driver. Mr. Golding was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Nancy Mayes Golding; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Stacks and Tim; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Melissa Golding; grandchildren and their spouses, Taylor Haynes and Jordan, Abby Hunter and Worth, Isaac Stacks, Elijah Stacks and Leea, Allie Stacks and Ashton Stacks; great grandchildren, Raylan Craig Hunter, Natalie Caroline Haynes, Evie Grey Hunter, Noah Dale Haynes; siblings and their spouses, Connie Barnes, Artis Golding and Jean, Roger Gentry, Harold Golding and Trudy, Joe Golding and Sandra, Shyrell Boyette and Bob, Sarah Lou Beane, Lillar Hayes and Carl. In addition to his parents, Mr. Golding was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses, Leon Golding, Harvey Barnes, Dub Golding and Peggy, Mondale Lawrence and Graham, Charles Golding and Judy, Rachel Gentry, Don Beane. A funeral service for Mr. Golding will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with the Pastor Josh Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow in the Golding family cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Golding family.
