Roger Dale Norman

Mr. Roger Dale Norman, age 76, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1949 in Surry County to the late Henry and Loline Hawks Norman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Glenda Gravely Norman; daughter, Tina Marshall (Steve); grandchildren, Dustin Goins (Anita), Beverly Bowman (John), Anthony Goins Jr, Sarah Goins (Josh McGrady), Steven Marshall, and Sheldon Marshall; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Valley (John), Frances Billings (Bobby), Glenda Norman, Sherry Martin (Tony), Rhonda Atkins (Lee Roy Gammons); brother, Edward Norman. In addition to his parents Mr. Norman was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Dawn Goins; sister, Brenda Gravely; brothers, Joe, Billy, and Jack Norman. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church with service conducted by Pastor John Bowman. Burial will follow in Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time for the service at the church.
