Ronald Nelson Whitt

Mr. Ronald Nelson Whitt, 79 of Mount Airy, went home to be with his heavenly father on Monday evening July 21, 2025, at Surry Heath Center by Harborview in Mount Airy. He was born in Stokes County on June 9, 1946, to the late Grover Kansas Whitt and Cora Ethel Stanley Whitt. He was self-employed in the dry wall business. Left to cherish his memory are three daughters and a son-in-law, Sarah Whitt, Amy and Shane White, and Joni Whitt; his son, Justin Whitt; five grandchildren, Cody Draughon, Jordan Whitt, Jarad Pinto, Jacob Pinto, and Chloe Whitt; several grand cats; and by many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitt was preceded in death by his siblings, an infant brother, Sylvia Mae Whitt Jessup, Donald Gray Whitt, Carrie Lena Whitt Whitaker, Robert Farrell “Pete” Whitt, Betty Lou Whitt Lineberry, and Kent Whitt. There will be a family conducted memorial visitation on Saturday July 26, 2025, at The People’s Church from 4:00 – 6:00pm. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
