Mr. Ronnie Dwayne Hull, 66, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 1, 2026, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Hull was born March 14, 1960, in Surry County, one of eleven children born to the late Edd and Alpha Hicks Hull. Ronnie was a simple, hardworking man who took pride in an honest day’s work, spending much of his life working with lumber. A man of few words, he was wise beyond measure, with a quiet intelligence and a humble spirit. He was selfless by nature, always willing to put others before himself, and never one to seek recognition or attention. He had a genuine appreciation for God’s creation, especially trees and the outdoors, and enjoyed the art of trading and making a good deal. His kindness, humility, and unassuming nature were evident to those who knew him best. Above all, he loved Jesus, and his faith was an important part of who he was. He also had a passion for drag racing, an interest that brought him much enjoyment throughout his life. He lived a life defined not by material possessions or grand words, but by hard work, a generous heart, and a quiet faith. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Melinda Cruise Hull; a daughter, Marissa Hull Goodman and her husband, Jordan; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Carolyn Watts, Becky Golding, Phyllis McMillian, and Tammy and Randy Joyce; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Patty Hull, Donnie and Becky Hull, and Jimmy and Robin Hull; his extended family, Wade Cruise, Darla and Stanley Scott, and Darren Cruise; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hull was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Mosley; two brothers, Eddie Dean Hull and Dickie Hull; and his mother-in-law, Ann Key Cruise. A service of worship and celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Highland Park Baptist Church, with Dr. Darrell Tate officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Highland Park Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
